Whole House Fan Installation Overview:

1) Verify that you have the proper amount of net square footage free area in the ridge, soffit, and gable vents in your attic.

2) Choose the best location above a central hallway or at the top of a stairwell. Remove insulation in the selected area.

3) Set the fan in place on the attic floor joists.

4) Mark and cut the hole in the sheetrock of the living space’s ceiling. Install grille or damper if fan is equipped with these items.

5) Wire the fan per National Electric Code and manufacturer’s instructions.
